Immanuel issued Pastor Greg S. Griffith his first call on April 27th 2004 at Concordia St. Louis Seminary Call Service.   He was ordained at his childhood home congregation, First Lutheran, Placerville on June 13th, and installed here at Immanuel on the weekend of July 17-19th 2004.
It was at Immanuel that Pastor Greg also met his wife Laurie.  Laurie and Pastor Greg were married here at Immanuel on May 5th of 2006. 

Pastor Greg enjoys playing most sports, and enjoys coaching boys basketball.  He has coached on the Jr. High, High School, and collegiate levels.  Pastor Greg also enjoys reading, and running (small distances) golfing, and traveling as hobbies.  Pastor Greg has traveled to Europe twice (one mission trip and once for recreation) and has been to most of the United States.

Pastor Greg went to college at Concordia University, Irvine, graduating in 1999 with a degree in Religious Studies, and upon graduation entered Seminary at Concordia, St. Louis, graduating on May 21, 2004 with a Master of Divinity degree.

Pastor Greg’s responsibilities here at Immanuel are to oversee all Ministries to 7th-12th grade, and Young Adults families.  Pastor Greg is also the primary preacher and planner of Immanuel’s contemporary, Interactive, Advent and Lent services. 

One of Pastor Greg’s highlights of ministry here at Immanuel is leading the High School students on an annual mission trip to Mexico.  “It is a real eye opening experience to see God move students from the ordinary ways of life to an extraordinary servant’s heart as they are moved to serve others before themselves.”

Pastor Greg and Laurie also welcomed into their life the blessings of a baby girl on July 16th 2007.  Macey Jane Griffith was baptized at Immanuel on August 12th.  Pastor Greg and his family are very blessed by our great God to have such a wonderful faith family like Immanuel.
