Nancy Kruger

Nancy Kruger has been with the Immanuel Pastor Staff as Minister of Outreach and Missions since August, 1998. Prior to that, she served as a full-time missionary in Peru, South America and more recently as Mission Developer/Church Planter in Southfield, Michigan.

Nancy began her career in banking, but through a series of short-term overseas mission trips (Amsterdam in 1987, The Philippines in 1989 and East Africa in 1991), followed God's leading to go to Bible College, study the Bible, and pursue a ministry degree. She graduated in 1994 with honors from Lutheran Bible Institute (now Trinity Lutheran College) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cross-Cultural Ministry (Urban emphasis). Nancy completed synodical requirements for LCMS colloquy in 2000 in the Outreach and Missions program at Concordia University, St. Paul, Minnesota.

Some areas of Nancy's responsibilities here at Immanuel include training individuals in sharing their faith, Bible teaching, coordination of all outreach activities and events, coordination of short-term mission trips and oversight of all mission education and support, The Christmas "Gifts for all God's Children" program, the Welcome and Hospitality ministries, the Food Pantry, and Immanuel public relations and advertising. She is our representative for the American Bible Society, The Bible League, Lutheran Bible Translators, The Lutheran Hour, the Good Shepherd Coalition, Mission India and The Brazil Mission Society. Twice each year, Nancy co-teaches a mission leadership and training seminar called "Global Outreach Weekend", held at various locations around the country, and sponsored by The Mission Society.

Nancy loves to travel and especially enjoys learning about other cultures and people from other cultures. She also likes flower gardening in the summer, listening to Christian music, reading books for spiritual enrichment, walking outdoors and spending time with friends and family, especially her seven nieces and one nephew.
