Pastor Paul Burow
Minister of Pastoral Care
(586) 286-4231 x.223
pburow@immlutheran.org

Pastor Paul Burow Pastor Paul and Peggy moved into their home in the Valley Forge subdivision in early April. They wish to thank the members of Immanuel for their many prayers regarding the sale of their home in Texas. Being less than a mile away from the church will enable both Pastor and Peggy to be more actively involved in our community and congregation.

Pastor Paul's hometown is Hamburg, New York, which is the reason he still cheers for the Buffalo Bills. In 1966 he graduated from Concordia Seminary in Springfield, Illinois and was called to begin a new mission in suburban Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Prior to being called as assistant Pastor at Immanuel, Pastor Paul served Risen Christ in Mississauga, Ontario; St. John, Rochester, Michigan and Concordia, San Antonio, Texas.

On August 28th 1965 Pastor and Peggy were married at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hinsdale, Illinois. Their marriage has been blessed with four children Jennifer Fink, Karen Matzinger, Peter, and Sarah May and three grandchildren Jessica, Jonathan, and Eric. Since arriving in the early Fall of 2000, Pastor Paul has enjoyed working with Pastor Mike, the church and school staff, and the lay leaders in helping to equip all of God's people for the work of ministry.

Presently he is focusing on the following areas of ministry: Pastoral Care, Adult Education, and Junior Confirmation. In the future, Pastor Paul would like to provide leadership for establishing a parish health ministry, Human Care Council, and the Stephen Ministry. Pastor requests the continued prayerful support of all God's people at Immanuel that the Holy Spirit would empower us to bring people in, to build them up and to send them out.
