Our class activation code is   QVHFC   ORDERS ARE DUE ON OR BEFORE WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2017

Dear Parents,

Over the past few years, more and more parents have enjoyed the convenience of online ordering. The site has been redesigned this year and seems easier than ever to use. If you would like to order online, the directions are below. (Of course you can always send in the printed flyer with your child.) There are a few advantages to ordering online; you will find a wider selection of books than in the printed flyers, and you can send your orders directly to my online account with Scholastic and use your credit card to pay.  I have always been an advocate for the Scholastic system that I grew up with in the 70’s. This included, looking at or reading the flyers and wishing for everything.  A short time later, my dreams came true when some of the wished for items were received.  Please have your child “read” the paper flyers and/or the online flyers.  I strongly believe it is a part of instilling the love of reading.
It’s so simple! Here’s how it works:

  • SIGN UP at If it is your first time ordering, enter the one-time Class Activation Code shown above. This unique code ensures that your order is sent to me.
  • SELECT the books you’d like to order  choose from thousands of titles  many more than in our monthly flyers.
  • SEND your order to me online by the due date and your child’s books will be delivered directly to me.

Ordering online is fast, easy, and secure. Of course, if you prefer, you can still order using the form from the printed flyers. Just send them to school with a check or cash  made out to Scholastic. Only one check is necessary, even if you order from several flyers.  If you would ever like to give a book to your child as a gift, let me know via email and I will get the book to you “secretly” when the order arrives.

Thank you and let me know if you have any questions,

Mrs. Clor

Meet The Teacher and the Assistants

Sandra Clor – Lead Teacher

My name is Sandra Clor.  I strongly believe that early childhood is a key stepping stone on a path of a life long journey with Jesus.  I cherish the opportunity of being a part of sharing the love of Jesus with children and their families.  I am thankful for the opportunity to work in a nurturing loving environment where children can play, learn, and experience new challenges that will help each child grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

I have been a member of Immanuel since 1987.  My husband and I have been married for 30 years.  We have two grown sons ages 23 and 21 years old.  I have been fortunate and blessed to be teaching at Immanuel alongside an amazing teaching staff that never fails to put a smile on my face for the past fifteen years.   Long ago,  I found myself truly enjoying caring, nurturing, and guiding preschoolers.  As a result, I have dedicated my professional life to children.   My favorite experience about teaching is seeing a smile  and feeling a connection when I have helped a child with something as little as putting on a band aid or learning something new.  Working, learning, and playing with God’s little gems,  is a daily adventure and a true pleasure!

Carol Kraatz
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday AM and PM Assistant

My name is Carol Kraatz.  I have been a life long member of Immanuel. I have two children, Keith and Kim, husband Joe. The apples of my eye are my two grandsons, Matthew and Christopher. My children, as well as my husband, and I, all attended school here at Immanuel. My grandsons are also keeping the tradition. Matthew graduated from Immanuel and is now in 11th grade. Christopher is in 7th grade.  I have joyfully dedicated thirty six years to Immanuel in the preschool department caring for all of God’s Children.

Kate Southern

My name is Kate Southern.  I have been a member of Immanuel since I married my husband Tom, in March 2009. I have 4 children- “the bigs”, my step-daughter Emma who is 14 and my step-son Carter who is almost 12, and “the littles” Caraline who is 6 and Coleton who just turned 4. I graduated from MSU in 2004 and went back to get my masters in speech pathology. I have worked with kids my entire career from being an assistant at Tutor Time in Okemos, to being a classroom paraprofessional in Bloomfield Hills. I have worked as an SLP (Speech- Language Pathologist) for the past 7 years in various settings. I am eager to join the staff at Immanuel because I am passionate about Jesus and I am so excited the Lord has led me back to working with little ones.
